Contractual relationship with clients
artax provides fee-based services, which are subject to Swiss contract law.
Based on Article 13 (https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classified-compilation/19995395/index.html) of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal legislation on privacy (Swiss Privacy Act: https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classified-compilation/19920153/index.html), every person is entitled to have their privacy protected and to be protected against the misuse of their personal data. artax Fide Consult AG (artax) complies with these regulations. In close cooperation with its IT and hosting providers, artax strives to protect its databases against any unauthorized access, loss of data, misuse, or falsification, to the extent possible using available technology.
When accessing the artax website, the following data will be saved in log files: IP address, date, time, browser request and commonly transmitted information about operating system or browser. These data will be evaluated anonymously for statistical purposes, for example, to determine the number of hits per day on a website. No personalised analysis will be undertaken. As our website does not provide a login function, we are unable to identify any specific visitors.
Establishing contact is possible via phone call, letter, E-Mail or our website contact form. Should you wish to receive information, then artax will need, depending on the form of contact: first name, surname, address, email, phone number, and depending on the request, further information. When establishing contact with artax, your information, the services requested from artax, and further information required to process your request, will be saved for any possible follow-up questions and as required by recordkeeping obligations. This information will remain strictly confidential and will not be transferred to anyone outside artax or made available to any other third party, unless this is required by law, and demanded by the appropriate law enforcement authority.
You can get in touch with us via the contact form provided on our website. Apart from supplying first name and surname an email address is equally required, so that we do know who has sent the request, and can reply to the request. The supply of further information is on a voluntary basis. Based on your request, an email will be generated and sent to us. We then process this like a request via email.

Embedding of third-party content and services
To some extent, we use third-party content, for example video clips from Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/en/) maps by Google Maps (https://www.google.com/maps/) and charts by Amcharts.com. This always requires that the provider of this content (hereafter termed “third-party provider”) is aware of the user’s IP address. It is possible that third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Should you have an account with such a third-party provider, a personal identification (especially if you have not logged out there before accessing our website) is possible. artax does not exchange additional personal data with these providers. Further information is available in the relevant privacy policies of such third-party providers.
If you wish to receive our newsletter as offered on our website, then we require from you a name, a first name and an email address, plus your choice of language. Further data will not be required. These data we shall use exclusively for the distribution of the newsletter, and they will not be passed on to third parties.
For registration, we use the Double-Opt-In procedure. With this procedure you first register on our website; afterwards you will receive a confirmation email including a link. Only by clicking on this link do you confirm that your email address is correct, and secondly, that you explicitly agree to the newsletter’s distribution. Only after this confirmation will the recipient of the newsletter be actively entered into the relevant mailing list.
You may revoke your consent anytime by cancelling the newsletter free of charge. To do so, use the link at the bottom of each newsletter email to cancel your subscription to the newsletter service.
CleverReach enables us to analyse the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things it allows an analysis of how many recipients have opened the newsletter and how often which link in the newsletter has been clicked on.
The data you have supplied in order to receive the newsletter will be stored by us until your cancellation of the newsletter; once you have cancelled the newsletter this data will be deleted from both our servers and from the servers used by CleverReach.
